Tyrone Edwards President/General Manager is the founding owner and security executive practitioner with over 30yrs experience as criminal justice and security professional in the areas of loss prevention, retail security, armored transport, team management, corporate security, in the public and private sectors.
Tyrone has worked as a probation officer for Cook County Adult Probation Department Chicago, IL for over 13yrs, serving in caseload, pre-trial service, intensive probation supervision, and post release units.
Tyrone was previously employed for 10yrs as a senior line officer assigned to General Service Administration (GSA) contracted to Federal Protective Services (FPS). Assigned to safe guard the employees, visitors, guest, and property of U.S. government by monitoring electronic intrusion systems, supervising over 30 armed security and police officers.
Tyrone maintains an active role in all aspects of the business including hiring and training new recruits, acquiring and servicing clients, and visiting client locations.
Tyrone is active member of American Society of Industrial Security, Indiana Society of Investigators, and Society of Human Resource Managers, is a licensed private investigator and security contractor in the state of Indiana under private investigator license number PI21500035 and security contractor license number SG21500028. Tyrone is a graduate of Governors State University, IL. With a Master degree in Political and Justice Studies, in University Park, IL. He also obtain a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Human Resource Management, in Chicago, IL.
Gwen is responsible for account management, customer service, background screening, business development, and marketing. Gwen has over 20yrs experience as a customer service/ call center manager with Lion Resource Inc. in the IT department where she wrote and edited documents for new departmental procedures manual, assessed organizational training needs, applied safety procedures and policies as outlined in the department safety manual successfully led key projects which resulted in 88% calls answered Gwen obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Indiana.

Reginald is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. Reginald directs staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology (IT) risks. This division will respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls, manage security technologies, and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures. Reginald has over 12 years in the healthcare IT business as a Healthcare Applications Analyst at University of Illinois Hospital & Health Systems were he was responsible for supporting the entire implementation process; including, but not limited to design, build, testing, training, go live. He is also certified in Cyber Security from the University of California with a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Arkansas. With over 20 years of experience in the technology and computer industry he is the go to for any of your security needs here at Merchants.
Peter G. Curcio serves as Merchants Loss Preventions Chief of Operations Manager. Peter is a former FBI Executive Fellow and Senior Law Enforcement Executive serving as a 3 star Bureau Chief with the New York City Department of Corrections Peter serves as adjunct criminal justice faculty at Briarcliffe College and serves as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Justice, National Institute of Corrections
He is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and holds a Master Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Peter is a licensed NYS private investigator, NYS licensed security guard instructor and serves as a subject matter expert for Law Enforcement Today magazine. Pete has been featured on MSNBC, Court TV and provides criminal justice consulting for the cable television show” Necessary Roughness.
